Watch people walk. do they walk straight? Yes, they do.
Watch “Charlie” walk. Walks straight? Yes, he does.
Watch a billiard player walk. Straight? No, he does not.
He starts walking toward the shot but ends up away from it. Take a look at his stance. Step up and stand beside him.
Is he facing you or the shot or some where between? Is he going to take the shot or going some where else?
Have him to turn around a little bit or else, he is going to a have a sore back other wise.
Does he want to take the shot with a tilted head? It will give him a neck pain. Do not approach the shot side way.
Ask him one step back to the previous position(sighting). Do not approach the shot from the sides.
Stand about one cue stick’s length away from the table . make this a standard starting position.
Your mind’s eye will picture the shot’s scene from this same distance which is going to be same all the time and
adjusts to it’s size for now and then on. but don’t approach yet. Is your stick’s holding hand along the line of the shot?
Stand up- righted . Do not have your shoulders drop side way. Yes, you see the line of the shot not from
a vertical angle but since this will be a repeated action every time from now on, your mind will do the
adjustment once and for all. Start your approach and look sharp.
